May 10th!

Well, today is Clean up your Room Day, which probably won't happen around here.  If my parents never could get me to do it I think it's a bit late now.

However, today IS our anniversary.  Our 50th! 
It's going to get me to post something other than art today...

 

Here we were on our way to our "reception", 

which was a dinner for 10 at a Chinese Restaurant in Augsburg, Germany.  

(My father was so pleased - the whole thing cost around $25. )

and here we are skiing in the Alps the next winter.  We certainly had some great weekends and vacations those first couple of years... maybe that's why we're still together, and happy to be!  But actually, I think it's because we really love each other and would rather be together than anything else.  It's Golden!

Happy World Penguin Day

 World Penguin Day coincides with the annual northward migration of penguins. This happens each year on or around April 25th.  

This made me remember one of my older prints...

I sent out a challenge, and someone responded!

Doris Muramatsu sent me this wonderful recipe book....  I'm making the cookies tomorrow.  Or today!
